Why Use ELEctroAcupuncture?
ELECTROAcupuncture is a modern variation of acupuncture. It uses mild electric current to enhance the benefits of this traditional treatment.
Electroacupuncture(Estim)successfully treats acute and chronic pain, neuropathy, arthritis, sports injuries, and insomnia. It is used to stimulate acupuncture points in order to calm nerves, increase circulation, accelerate healing, decrease swelling, and relieve pain.
An initial consult with Taisha Gonzalez, L.Ac. is required to find out if you are a candidate for Electrocupuncture. If you are determined to be a candidate, we can perform your first procedure on the same day.

Common Questions About ELECTROAcupuncture
+ Am I a candidate for electroacupuncture?
The medical literature shows electroacupuncture’s effect on nearly every biophysical system in the body. I’ve seen patients suffering from a wide variety of problems respond to treatment when nothing else has worked.
So, for most people, yes, it is something you should explore.
+ How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed differs from person to person. For complex or long-standing conditions, one or two treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required, and for health maintenance, we recommend monthly tune ups.
+ Does acupuncture hurt?
No. It’s very comfortable. Most people end up taking a nap during their treatment and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.
+ Is electroacupuncture covered by insurance?
Insurance companies only like to cover treatments that don’t actually fix the problem. So we’re out of network for all insurance. The good news is, that you are the one in charge of what procedures you get, not an insurance company. And acupuncture treatment is very affordable.
