Meet Your Acupuncturist


Taisha Gonzalez is the founder of Signature Acupuncture Studio, a holistic practice which specializes in pain management, women’s health and facial rejuvenation. She is a dually licensed New York State Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist. She is board certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).  

While completing her vigorous 4-year Master’s Degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine-New York, she completed 3,000+ hours of classroom education, and 900+ hours of clinical experience. This experience included internships at NYU Langone-Initiative for Women with Disabilities, Columbia Health Medical Services, Housing Works, and PCOM Student Clinic. She attended a cadaver lab through a partnership with Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Taisha’s training encompasses both ancient Classical Chinese Medicine and modern Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has trained in Facial Rejuvenation, Advanced Orthopedic Techniques, Prenatal & Postpartum Acupuncture, Laser Acupuncture, Chakra Acupuncture and Kinesio Taping

In 2008, prior to acupuncture school, she was certified in Canine Rehabilitation by the University of Tennessee. She worked with the Orthopedic, Neurology, ICU & Acupuncture departments at the Animal Medical Center-NYC and Animal Specialty Center-Yonkers, assisting in postoperative care of domestic canines, felines, birds, rabbits and police dogs. She instructed visiting veterinarians on the use of cold laser, massage techniques, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and hydrotherapy at the Tina Santi Flaherty Rehabilitation & Fitness Service. 

Prior to veterinary rehabilitation work, Taisha completed her massage degree in 2002 at the Swedish Institute. While there, she completed internships at NYU Athletic Facility, Cabrini Pain Center and Lenox Hill Senior Center. She completed her first cadaver lab at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Harlem. She was later certified in geriatric massage; which she utilized as an independent contractor at the Hearthstone at the Esplanade Alzheimer Care Unit in NYC. 

She currently uses her diverse holistic background to create unique signature treatments integrating ancient techniques and the latest advancements in acupuncture and massage therapy.
